As characters gain experience in online battle, they increase in rank, are awarded medals, and gain access to additional high-end equipment. The game's engine is designed to automatically scale the size of the maps to the number of players in the session. With such commandos in its starring roles, the game features more clandestine, small-squad missions, though it still supports the main game's multiplayer gameplay, with as many as 64 human competitors in the same online battlefield.
