Desperados 3 Heldorado Developer : Spellbound Publisher : Viva Media Genre : Strategy Full game - No Need Crack ISO File Format Mount or burn,Install & Play Mode : Single-player Release Date : April 30, 2009 Language : English Repack by SaraDaddy Repack Size : 1,58 Gb Installation Size : 2,81 Gb Helldorado is a strategy video game released on April 30, 2009. Santa Fe in the late summer of 1883. Lester Lloyd Goodman is dead and buried, and his railway empire lies in ruins. Cooper enjoys his bittersweet revenge, but only for a short while, because something else is wrong: Doc McCoy has disappeared. He was kidnapped and poisoned. The person behind the disappearance seems to be Goodman’s widow. She meets Cooper in a church in Santa Fe, where she makes him a diabolical offer: she will spare Doc’s life if Cooper will carry out a few assignments that will brand him as a criminal. Cooper agrees. Together with his friends he sets out to free Doc McCoy. But the more enmeshed they become in the crime, the clearer it becomes that much more is involved than the revenge of a young woman...." The Wild West frequently calls to mind a lawless frontier packed with bank and train robberies, showdowns between gunslingers and posses being rounded up to capture criminals and bring them to justice. Clearly, these were action packed times that would seem to provide action packed gameplay for a company to capitalize on. Taking a different approach to the time period, Spellbound and Viva Media have recently released Helldorado, a tactical action strategy sequel to the older Desperados series. The continuation of the story and the characters is a plus, particularly for franchise fans; however, the difficulty of the title and the lack of character responsiveness, amongst other issues, make this title incredibly arduous to play through, even for the most hardcore strategy aficionado. The story of Helldorado picks up after the events of Desperados 2, where John Cooper and his associates helped cause the death of a railroad baron who was clearly corrupt and out to cause a large amount of mayhem. Of course, killing such an influential person doesn't come without hazards, and Cooper soon discovers that Doc McCoy has been kidnapped and poisoned. As he follows a series of cryptic clues, he quickly discovers that the widow of the rail baron has decided to get revenge on Cooper and his friends by forcing them to become criminals if they want to receive the antidote and save Doc's life. While the blackmail motive is an interesting overall twist to the basic action, it quickly becomes secondary to every mission objective you're facing during your missions. Like the previous games, you take Cooper and his friends on a variety of missions, using their considerable skills to eliminate opponents and achieve their objectives. For instance, Cooper is a gunslinger who packs a throwing knife, while Doc can knock out men with gas and Sam is a demolition expert. Depending on the NPC that you come across, you can even use their abilities to distract targets. Kate, for instance, can seduce men or faint, pulling attention away from guards and other positions. Cooper can set off a musical watch that intrigues people, while Sanchez can set down bottles of Tequila to get people drunk. You'll need to use the various abilities of these characters to eliminate enemies, and you can even combine them with specific heroes to perform different attacks. For example, Cooper and Sam can attack and knock out every single enemy in an area while Doc and Hawkeye can fire knockout gas into distant areas to make people pass out. Players can also choose to string together what's known as quick actions. By selecting the quick action, you can queue up attacks for characters to perform simultaneous strikes against nearby targets. This can be useful if there is a group of nearby enemies that you want to incapacitate quickly, or if you needed to string different moves together by your team. This can involve using their individual abilities, or attempting to combine strikes for coordinated blows. While this may sound like a pretty good set of tactical maneuvers, the amount of times that you'll actually wind up successfully using these combo powers or quick actions are incredibly few, if any. In fact, you don't always have control over the entire six person squad, being limited to a few characters during a mission. What's more, you'll frequently find that it's much easier to take one person and use them as a scout/commando unit, leaving the others behind in a safe hiding place. I stress that last portion because, for some reason, your characters refuse to protect themselves in case they happen to be spotted, meaning that they frequently act as human targets without firing a single shot in return. As a result, you'll find it much easier to proceed if you select one character that's more useful in a specific situation and use them exclusively to pick off everyone you come across.
