Scooby-Doo and Shaggy once again come sleuthing their way to your PC, this time in a spooky castle adventure. Lost in the forests of Nova Scotia, Scooby and crew are startled by something that looks like a dragon and discover a medieval castle. While investigating, they find the place is haunted and, to thicken the plot, a princess has been kidnapped!
Scooby-Doo! Phantom of the Knight is a single player adventure that utilizes research skills, deductive reasoning and logical analysis to solve a mystery. Each time you play, you encounter new clues with a different villain and outcome. The skill setting offers three progressively difficult levels of play: spooky, spookier and "spooktacular" (easy, medium and hard).
Use the mouse to manipulate certain areas of the environment and move the gang from room to room. As you investigate, you discover items such as a feather duster and clues like a Pizza Palace coupon. Each time you speak with a character, he or she is added to your list of possible suspects for further investigation and, to make matters tough, everyone is a suspect!
When entering new rooms, the gang enters into a dialogue and often discovers new facets to the mystery. For help, you can always click on Scooby's pint size icon and click on an area of the screen for further information. A help information program is also available for troubleshooting and answering frequent questions via the Adobe Acrobat Reader that comes on the CD.
Scooby-Doo! Phantom of the Knight is geared towards children 5-10 years of age. The original voices of Shaggy and Scooby are present in this cartoon mystery along with the entire gang from the television show. Shaggy lacks the courage and Scooby the wit to tackle the mystery of the Phantom Knight -- they need your help!
Test your skills against a magical wizard and the decidedly un-chivalrous knights of the snack table while you help the gang solve the mystery! Just be sure to let Scooby know that, if they win this one, there'll be plenty of Scooby snacks for him!
